FRIDAY - 2 Corinthians 5:20b-6:10 “The right time is now. Today is the day of salvation.” Lent is a season of sacrifice. It’s a season of fasting and sacrificing satisfying food to be with God and experience His love. We fast and sacrifice as response to the greatest sacrifice and showcase of love: Jesus Christ on the cross. He was made to be an offering for our sin, and through His death and resurrection, we have been brought into the family of God. This family, led by Jesus, is known by its purity, understanding, patience, kindness, and the Holy Spirit at work. When you look at that list today, do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as understanding of others? As patient? Kind? Do you see and feel the Holy Spirit at work within your life? Whether you do or don’t, today is the day to experience a fresh wind of salvation, of Christ’s love. Today might be the first day where you say, “Jesus, you’re my King,” or it might be the day you say, “Jesus, fill me with your love again.” Today is the day of salvation, where you can be given everything.
